Baby, It's Hot Outside
Just thought you'd like to know how the weather is today here in Malta:
Valletta, Malta
Fair
Feels Like
100°F
Dew Point: 43°F
But I have to say this--it's not as bad as I would have thought because the humidity is very low right now. I'm actually OK in the house with some fans on. From what I understand, though, August will be a killer. It always is. The temperature stays high and the humidity goes way up. Then the suffering begins. But this sure beats the rain I hear the Northeast has been having. I hate rain. I like it bone dry like this.
So next month--we'll see how much I complain.

B!!! Is this MY B? I'm sorry you have bad weather in NYC. You know you're welcome anytime to come and be here--and bring R (and K, too)

I'm not sure what is making the weather the way it is these days... but I do know one thing. Every morning when I wake up I check the weather on my phone for a couple of places. First, New York, and second, Malta. Every day the 7 day forecast tells me it will rain every day in New York, and Malta will be 90 degrees and sunny. Malta is the only place that I look at regularly that has SUNNY each and every day. I have to say I'm jealous.

Hi Mary--No, my brother isn't a big complainer. I'm the complainer in the family. I think the weather is so changeable because of the warming of the earth. That's what I think---Ilene

Ugh. I hate the heat, but I also don't like rain and God knows, we've had way more than necessary and is usual this year. Your brother must be complaining. We don't just get rain, but along with it comes incredible thunder and lightening and our dogs go beserk (bezerk?). The whole of the USA is having wacky weather this year. Nothing as it usually is. I wonder why. Mary

Hi Sebastian, No they use Centigrade in Malta and I don't know what they use for mileage in Malta. I've never seen a speed limit sign and from how the Maltese drive, I don't think there is a speed limit--Ilene
