What does this Mean?
I don't know if this has anything to do with Malta, but last night I dreamed that I gave birth to a kitten.
Does anyone knows what this means? If it's real bad, please don't tell me. Could it have to do with all the cats I see around Malta? I love the cats who hang around the streets. I don't see as many as I used to in previous years, but they're still roaming around.
Did you know that the typical Maltese cat is a red tabby? And believe it or not, lots of Maltese have Persians. You would think that it would be too hot for Persians in the summer here. But a lot of Maltese have their Persians shaved for the summer. I had my cat Egypt shaved just on the bottom--her belly, etc. Despite the heat, the tiles in the house are cool to the touch and my cat can stay comfortable that way.
The Maltese were very smart when they built these stone houses to reduce the summer heat.
Anyway, the kitten I gave birth to was black and white, and I was disappointed for some reason. And it looked like it might have been mentally challenged. Maybe the heat is getting to me after all...sorry.

Hi Edward, regarding the flats--Yes, I know. I was in one the year before we moved to Malta and it was terrible during the summer. So I'm happy so far that I've been able to take the heat in this house...Ilene

Mary, you're scaring me--I don't know why it wasn't a litter. I'm glad you're having a nice time in Vermont; sounds nice and cool...Ilene

Hi Everyone, thanks for your interpretations. Lynda, you're funny. Dee-maybe you're right. Andie, maybe you're right, too. No more dreams of cats lately--so that's good---Ilene

Sounds weird.... it's probaly your love of cats on your mind.
Or you are thinking of your girls in the US....Birth, All American Cat.

Well the Black and White is the 'All American Cat'! Was it a boy or girl? We used to have a boy. Good idea to have the kitties belly shaved, our Cat has long hair and likes to sleep in dark places here to keep cool.

Ilene,it's definitely the heat. You need to take a cool break. We're in VT this weekend. At the moment it's sunny, 73F, breezy, and no humidity. The dogs and I are very comfortable. Mr. B is freezing because it's only 68 in the house. You're welcome to come here and re-collect your equilibrium. Be well, but no more cat birthing. It is weird that it wasn't a litter.

Just the one kitten, not a litter? how strange. I dreamt of a dishy film producer who was madly in love with me. It was a shame to wake up. Hope the dreams are better tonight.
Our cats had to have blood taken recently, it was terrible, the screaming, howling and that was just me.

“The Maltese were very smart when they built these stone houses to reduce the summer heat.”
Very true.
However, at some point, they forgot everything and started building hot, stuffy flats!
