Depends how much sugar you been consuming you could get a sugar withdrawal so supplement with fruit perhaps. Try Weleda Avena Sativa Complex drops for taking out the anxiety and stress during the detox, its homeopathic.
It should not have any side effects its a mineral, and you would need to check what formats they are in but if you're in the UK they would have a greater variety

Wow--Eagle. Youre really serious, arent you??? Im going to get some. Are they chewable? Or are there any side effects from taking the chromium or do they interfere with any other medications that you know of? Thanks--Ilene

I can relate to the nocturnal chocolate cravings. I read that it also depends on the quality of the chocolate. If you go with something which is 70% or more or some of the swiss brands, the craving is satisfied alot earlier due to the higher cocoa content.
So theoretically you end up eating a little less chocolate bars and less added sugar which is the big no no.
Try the chromium supplements, I've been on them for about a week now and the cravings have disappeared to the extent of me being able to say No ! when a chocolate is offered :)

Hi Alex--my sympathies to your daughter re: her chocolate addiction. On the other hand, as far as addictions go, there are worse! xx Ilene

Aaahhh...the lure of the cocoa bean.
I myself don't eat chocolate, however my daughter Miss. A is addicted beyond belief. When we do the shopping I "have to" buy her enough chocolate to last the week or life is unbearable---truely! This amounts to at least 10 blocks a week.
Just go with the flow I say, life is way too short and female hormones are a dangerous mine field to tread...
